Charles H. Wall, 90, of Manbeck Road, Heidelberg Township, formerly of Spring Street, West Lawn, died May 6 at 6 a.m. in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient since April 30.
He was the husband of Christine J. (O'Donnell) Wall.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Charles and Jane (Quigley) Wall.
Wall was employed for 35 years as a state policeman, retiring in 1973.
He was a graduate of West Catholic High School, Philadelphia.
Wall was a member of St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, Robesonia.
He was a fourth degree in the Knights of Columbus Council 2870, Lebanon.
Wall was a life member of Berks Lodge 65, Fraternal Order of Police.
He is also survived by two sons, Charles F., Alpharetta, Ga., and Michael J., Pottstown; and two daughters, Annette M. (Wall) Pawelski, Robesonia, and Rosemary J. (Wall) Carr, Muhlenberg Township.
Other survivors include three sisters: Catherine (Wall) Jackson, and Joan (Wall) Taufer, both of Clifton Heights, Delaware County; and Jane (Wall) Reilly, Hazlet, N.J.
There are also seven grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two sons, Thomas Wall, in 1954, and Patrick Wall, in 1959.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Francis de Sales Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
