Charles P. Troxel, 88, died January 19, 2015 in his Lower Alsace Township residence.
He was the husband of Pearl M. (Trate) Troxel who died October 26, 2013.
Born February 19, 1926 in Oley, he was a son of the late Charles and Maggie (Hartman) Troxel.
Charles was employed as a tool grinder and coordinator with Stanley G. Flagg Co., Stowe, PA for 45 years.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Charles was a member of Zion's Spies Evangelical Reformed Church, Alsace Township.
Surviving are his two sisters: Martha Satter of Lower Alsace Township and Edith Schaeffer of Oley.
Charles was predeceased by four of his siblings: Lloyd Troxel, Isaac Troxel, Nora Mathias and Emily Troxel.
He was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Detroit Tigers and Lions and going to Reading Phillies games.
Charles was a member of Stoney Creek Softball Team in the Merchants League.
Services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Kuhn-Stitzel Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 423 Main Street, Oley. Viewings will be held Thursday evening 6:30 - 8:00 pm and Friday 10:30 - 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Spies-Zion Cemetery, Alsace Township.
