Charles F. Rickert

Charles Francis Rickert, 92, of Muhlenberg Township and formerly of Shillington, died March 22, 2008 at 2:13 am in the Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient since March 12th.

He was the widower of Mary (Ciok) Rickert, who died March 11, 1998.

Born September 25, 1915 in Hyde Park, Muhlenberg Township, he was a son of the late Harry C. and Mary E. (Yetzer) Rickert.

He was employed 27 years with Jack Gurshick Cash Register Company, retiring in 1975 as the service manager.

Charles was an Army Veteran of WWII.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist de La Salle Roman Catholic Church, Shillington.

Charles is survived by a sister-in-law, Ethel (Fehr) Rickert of Wyomissing.

Other survivors include several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by five siblings; Marguerite Dietrich, Catherine Neher, George Rickert, Raymond Rickert and Joseph Rickert.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 10:00 am in St. John's R.C. Church, Shillington. A viewing will be held one hour prior to Mass in the Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
