Charles L. Penn

Charles L. "Chuck" Penn, Jr., 73, of Shillington, passed away on September 13, 2009 in the Reading Hospital.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Charles L., Sr. and Ruth M. (Smith) Penn.

Chuck was a 1955 graduate of Reading High School.

He was employed for 30 years in various positions by Barbey Electronics.

Chuck is survived by his sister, Carole (Penn), wife of William B. Reichert; a niece, Tracey M. Reichert, a nephew Kevin M. Reichert, a great-niece and a great-nephew, and one great-great-niece, all of Muhlenberg Township.

He played guitar with the band "The Cavaliers'" in the '50's & 60's. He had a passion for his love of model trains and attending model train shows. He also enjoyed playing around with home installations of both audio and video equipment and being on his PC.

He was loved and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

Services will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
