Charles A. Moody

Charles A. Moody, 88, formerly of Reading, died July 27 at 4:05 p.m. in Spruce Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, West Reading, where he had been a resident since 1997.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late George and Martha (Yeager) Moody.

Moody was employed for 25 years as a bartender by the Peanut Bar, Reading, until his retirement.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Moody was a life member of the Oakbrook Fire Company, East End Athletic Association and the Hampden Fire Company Marching Unit.

Surviving is a son, Donald C., Sinking Spring.

Other survivors include five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy L. Moody, in 1991.

Graveside services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Tuckerton. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
