Charles Edward Marsh

Charles "Chuck" Edward Marsh, 78, Kenhorst, died March 27, 2009 in Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was the husband of Esther F. (Magazzu) Marsh for 49 years.

Born in Sycamore, Illinois, he was a son of the late Elizabeth A. (Chapalonis) and Everett Wallace Marsh.

Chuck was employed by Carpenter Technology for 24 years, retiring in 1993.

He was a member of St. John De La Salle Roman Catholic Church, Shillington.

Chuck served in the United State Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict and the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was an active member for 21 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, David, husband of Kathleen Marsh, Exeter Township, and Michael, husband of Kim Marsh, Spring Township; and a brother, Richard, husband of Cynthia Marsh of Reading; and there are several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, at 10:30 A.M. in St. John Baptist De La Salle Roman Catholic Church, 420 Holland Street, Shillington. A visitation will be Tuesday from 9 to 10 A.M. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum.
