Charles Marabella

Charles "Charley" Marabella, 98, formerly of West Wyomissing and Country Meadows, and most recently of Stone Ridge, Myerstown, died September 6, 2015, in Reading Hospital.

His wife, Mary A. (Davidowski), died in 2011.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Salvatore and Sebastiana (Cerniglia) Marabella.

He attended Reading High School.

Charley was a needle straightener and later a machinist for Textile Machine Works for 30 years and Rockwell International for 10 years, retiring in 1980.

He was a member of West Lawn United Methodist Church.

Charley enjoyed sports, in particular golf, baseball and bowling. Dancing, playing cards and bingo were some of his favorite pastimes. He loved to vacation with his family in Stone Harbor, NJ.

He is survived by his children: David C., W. Wyomissing; Jane (Marabella) Boylan, Wyomissing; and Lee A., Exeter Twp. There is one sister, Minnie (Marabella) Constantino, Reading. Two grandchildren, Anthony and Angela, also survive him.

Services will be held Friday, at 10 a.m., in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading, with burial to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call Friday, from 9 to 10 a.m., in the funeral home.
