Charles Kissinger

Charles "Jack" S. Kissinger, 85, formerly of West Reading, died July 8, 2008 in Berks Heim, Bern Township, where he had resided for the past four years.

His wife, Carmella "Millie" Kissinger, died December 3, 1996.

Born in Reading on December 30, 1922, he was a son of the late George D. and Oralea (Bitler) Kissinger.

He was a Marine Corp. Veteran of WWII.

Jack was employed as a cook and manager with the former Moore's Restaurant for 46 years, retiring in 1984.

He is survived by a daugher, Oralea Kissinger. Jack is also survived by his devoted cousin, Jane and her husband Warren Goodhart.

A viewing will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m., with services beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery will be private. For online condolences, visit www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
