Charles Thomas Hall, 88, of Wyomissing, died January 23, 2009 in the Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Reading.
He was the beloved husband of Doris (Stine) Hall, whom he married May 16, 1946.
Born May 21, 1920 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late George K. Hall Sr., and Emma (McKiernan) Hall.
He was a 1938 graduate of Neptune Township (N.J.) High School and a 1966 graduate of Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ, where he received a degree in Business Administration and certification in Court Administration.
Charles was employed 17 years with Neptune (N.J.) City Court, as a Chief Court Clerk and also employed 20 years as an accountant with Chriscraft Boats, Neptune Township, N.J., before retiring in 1985.
He was an Army Veteran of WWII, where he served in the Counter Intelligence Unit from 1942 to 1946.
Charles was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing.
He served with the Boy Scouts Council of America and as supporters of education, invited to join South Berks Retired Teachers Association.
Charles was also a member of the Pennsylvania Society of Cincinnati, a historical society founded by George Washington, which traces Charles' geneology to Captain Jacob Bunner in the Continental Army.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge #549, Reading, PA; Valley of Reading Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Masonery and Fellowship High Twelve International.
Charles is also survived by two children: Pamela (Hall), wife of Douglas Waun of Newark, Delaware and Gregory C., husband of Carol (Hamber) Hall of Sewell, New Jersey.
Other survivors include a brother, Edward R. Hall of Cape Porpoise, Maine; four grandchildren: Heather Smith, Scott Waun, Jason Hall and Michael Hall and three great grandchildren: Haley Smith, Abbey Waun and Emily Waun.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, January 31st at 11:00 am in Atonement Lutheran Church, 5 Wyomissing Blvd., Wyomissing, PA 19610. Inurnment will be in the Church's Columbarium.
