Charles Gillette

Charles Gillette of Pottstown, 76, of North Coventry Twp., passed away at the Reading Hospital on August 31, 2021.

He is survived by his loving wife Agnes of 52 years.

Born on June 2, 1945, in Monticello, NY, he was the son of the late Charles and Florence (Marseco) Gillette. He was one of ten children that included two brothers and seven sisters.

He completed a high school education before becoming a security officer, most recently at the Hill School.

Charles was an avid reader with a great sense of humor. His son Dan always remembers a quote from his dad that his grandfather said to Charles. "It's not the cough you have often, it's the coffin they take you off in." Dan wants everyone to know his Dad lived life to the fullest with humor and love for all. He urned it.

In addition to his wife, Agnes, he is survived by his children, Daniel T. of Pottstown, and Scott A. of Summit Hill; and his three grandchildren: Nicolas, Landon, and Brody.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is honored to assist the Gillette family. Condolences may be expressed at www.kuhnfunerahomes.com.
