Charles Franklin Wurst, Jr.

Charles Franklin Wurst, Jr., CFW, 89, passed away February 9, 2022, in his Muhlenberg Township residence.

His wife, Betty Jean (Long) Wurst died on March 21, 2018.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Charles Franklin, Sr., and Helen (Heebner) Wurst.

He was employed by Carpenter Technology Corporation for 28 years working in the box shop.

Charles enjoyed spending time outdoors planting and maintaining his yard.

He was a US Army veteran serving in the 82nd Airborne.

Charles is survived by his son David Allen Wurst, husband of Susan L. Wurst; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Leora Lynn Guldin.

Services will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 5153 Kutztown Rd., Temple, PA 19560 with burial to follow at Laureldale Cemetery.
