Charles P. Frable

Charles "Pete" Frable, 63, died March 10, 2010 in his Spring Township residence.

He was the husband of Janet M. (Amy) Frable.

Born in Pen Argyl, PA, he was a son of the late Russell S. and Margaret E. (Buzzard) Frable.

He was a graduate of Pen Argyl High School in 1964. He earned both his BS and MS degrees from Kutztown University in 1968 and 1972, respectively.

Pete was employed by Wernersville State Hospital as a social worker, Threshold, Inc. as a counselor, Council on Chemical Abuse, in the same capacity, The Lutheran Home at Topton, where he was in charge of the Berks County Senior Citizens Program, and New Directions Treatment Center, West Reading as a mental health/drug and alcohol counselor.

He was a member of: St. John's Masonic Lodge #62, West Reading, The Scottish Rite, West Reading, and the Tall Cedars Neversink Forest #32.

Pete enjoyed his home away from home in Rehoboth Beach, DE. He also loved fishing with his granddaughters, traveling and cooking with his son.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Joshua M., at home and his daughter, Beth A. Frable, Sinking Spring. Two grandchildren, Leigh Anne Schaeffer and Heidi Schaeffer also survive him.

He was predeceased by his brother, John Frable, Sr.

Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
