Charles Dipietro

Charles DiPietro, 86, of Reading, passed away July 23, 2013 in Spruce Manor, West Reading.

His wife, Mary C. (Spuhler) DiPietro, died February 20, 2007.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Tindaro and Febronia (DeCarlo) DiPietro.

He was a 1947 graduate of Reading High School.

Charles was the owner of F.S. Kelley & Son for 41 years, retiring in 1989.

He was a member of St. Margaret's R.C. Church, Reading.

Charles was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in WWII.

He was a member and former board of director for Reading Pretzel City Chorus since 1969.

Charles is survived by his son, Thomas A., husband of Teresa L. DiPietro, Honeybrook. Also surviving are his two grandchildren: Nicole and TJ.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Rebecca A. DiPietro and his three siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 9 a.m. in St. Margaret's R.C. Church, 925 Centre Ave., Reading. A viewing will be held from 8 to 9 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, PA 19605. Edward J.
