Charles W.K. Dietrich, 87, of Sinking Spring Borough, died May 2, 2009 at 10:23 pm in ManorCare Health Services, Spring Township, where he had been a patient since April 15th.

He was the husband of Esther Hilda (Levan) Dietrich, whom he married June 13, 1942.

Born in Bern Township on October 19, 1921, he was raised by the late Clinton and Annie (Kramer) Bagenstose.

He was a 1938 graduate of Fleetwood High School.

Charles was an Army Veteran of WWII.

He was employed 38 years with Georgia Pacific Corporation before retiring as a scheduling and inside sales manager in 1984.

Charles is also survived by a son, Larry A., husband of Betsy L. (Mundell) Dietrich of Birdsboro.

Other survivors include two granddaughters: Kelli J., wife of Chad M. Mauger of Maidencreek Township and Kristi L., wife of Colin T. Schnabel of Muhlenberg Township and a great granddaughter, Haylie Nicole Mauger.

He is also survived by a sister, Mary (Bagenstose) Davis of Fleetwood.

A public viewing will be held Wednesday evening 6:30 - 8:00 pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. Services and Burial will be private in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
