Charles R. Delp

Charles R. Delp, Jr., 63, of Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2012 in the Chambersburg Hospital emergency room.

He was the husband of Jane L. (Balzer) Adams-Delp

Born in Pottstown, he was a son of the late Charles R. Delp Sr. and Mary Ellen (Frey) Delp.

He was employed as a Civilian Engineer with the Philadelphia Shipyard; Naval Supply Activity, Mechanicsburg.

He was a 1966 graduate of Daniel Boone High School and a 1971 graduate of Drexel University where he received his B.A. in Mechanical Engineering.

He was a member of the National Active Retired Federal Employees, the ARC and the AARP.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons: Charles D. and wife Michelle Delp of Carlisle and Steven G. and wife Nicole Delp of Mechanicsburg and his daughter: Corinne L. Delp of Carlisle. Also his Step daughter: Jennifer H., wife of Charles W. Allen of Arlington, VA and his Step Son: Christopher M. Adams of Seattle, WA. Also his Sisters: Linda A., wife of Ron Curtis of Douglassville and Barbara E., wife of Ralph Galen of Birdsboro as well as 5 grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held in Blankenbiller Funeral Home, 423 Main Street, Oley, on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 1:30 pm. Interment will follow in Friedens Cemetery, Oley. Friends and family may call on Friday from 12:30-1:30 pm.
