Charles M. Conver

Charles Markley Conver, 76, of Reading, died January 14, 2009 in the Emergency Room at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was married August 16, 1997 to Marcia Anne (Hain) Conver.

Born July 1, 1932 in Parker Ford, PA, he was a son of the late David Conver and Beatrice (Sackett) Naylor.

Charles was employed six years with Schoelkopf Service Center, West Lawn, last working Wednesday.

He is also survived by five children: David C. Conver of Phoenixville; Linda A. White of Bechtelsville; Gail D. Agresta of Pottstown; Lori J. Fees of Willow Grove and Deborah C. Sparks of Poquoson, VA.

Other survivors include three step children: Lisa Dorman of Reading; Stacey Raker of Shillington and Melanie Kummerer of Leesport.

There are also nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; 17 step grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren.

In addition, he is survived by four siblings, Alfred I. Conver of Texas; Catherine N. (Conver) Ryan of East Norriton, Montgomery County; Evelyn M. (Conver), wife of Peter Orler of Conshohocken, Montgomery County; and William L., husband of Marie Conver of Spring City, Chester County.

He was predeceased by two step-children: Betsy A. (Albright) Gonzalez, who died August 18, 2003 and Robert C. Albright, who died November 9, 2008 and a grandson Brian S. White who died Feb. 14, 2003.

Services will be Tuesday at 10:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, with Pastor Ken Kirk officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services.
