Charles M. Campion, 75, died of natural causes March 9th at 2:30 pm in his Flying Hills residence.
He was the husband of Judith B. (Borek) Campion.
Born in Camden, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Charles M. Sr., and Cecelia M. (Carey) Campion.
He was a 1948 graduate of Brookline (Mass.) High School a 1952 graduate of Boston College and attended Harvard Business School.
Campion was a member of St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, Robeson Township.
He was a national sales manager for BF Goodrich Shoe Company, based in Watertown, Mass.
Campion was later a vice-president at Bates Shoe Company, Webster, Mass and also at Craddock-Terry Shoe Company, Lynchburg, Virginia.
He later was the originator of the Villager Shoe Division of the Villager Clothes Company, Philadelphia, where he worked for 10 years.
Campion was last employed 20 years at Boscov's, where he was the vice-president of the shoe division and won the Achievement Award in 1993 for the Retail Chain of the Year, (Footwear News), retiring in 2001.
He was a member of the Lehigh Valley Model A Club.
Campion is also survived by a son, Cary of Lower Heidelberg Township.
Other survivors include a brother, Francis X. of Wellesley, Mass and Jean (Campion) Routhier of Yarmouth Port, Mass.
There are also two grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11:00 am in St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, 2020 Chestnut Hill Road, Mohnton, Pa 19540. Visitation 9:30am until time of Mass. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum, Muhlenberg Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Church's Building Fund at the above address. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
