Charles T. Bower

Charles T. Bower, 87 formerly of Hamburg died July 20, 2016 in his residence in Maidenecreek Township. He was the husband of Anna M. (Reppert) Bower. Charles was born in Lenhartsville and was the son of the late Raymond and Grace (Merkel) Bower. He was a 1947 graduate of Perry High School, Shoemakersville and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked as a machinist for most of his life with A.S.H. Pump, Hamburg for 45 years and last worked for Progressive Machine Shop Hamburg, retiring in 1991. In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by a son, Kevin C. husband of Jenni A. Bower, Blandon, two grandchildren, Caitlin Bower and Justin Schwartz, and one brother, Donald husband of Grace Bower, Shoemakersville. A son, Jeffrey C. Bower, predeceased Charles on April 23, 1995. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 25 at 11:00 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th St., Hamburg, PA. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2166 S. 12th Street, Allentown, PA. 18103.
