Charles W. Book, 63, of Sage Drive, Spring Township, was dead of natural causes on arrival Dec. 26 at 2:18 p.m. in Reading Hospital.
He was the husband of Marlene F. (Fletcher) Book.
Born in Reading, he was a son of Charles Woodbury, Washington, D.C, and the late Virginia (Book) Scott.
Book had been employed for 28 years as a cook by Albright College.
He was later employed for 15 years as manager of liquor stores in Wyomissing and Reading, retiring in 2000.
He was a 1957 graduate of Reading High School.
Book was a Marine Corps reservist.
He is also survived by a son, Charles F., Reading; a sister, Mary E. Book, Long Branch, N.J; and a half brother, Richard A. Scott, Harrisburg.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Entombment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum, Reiffton.
