Celia M. Kowalski

Celia M. (Dabrowski) Kowalski, 93, of Spring Township, died September 7, 2009 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter M. Kowalski, who died February 15, 1986.

Born in Buffalo, New York on May 10, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (Jasinski) Dabrowski.

Celia was employed for a number of years with Western Electric, Muhlenberg Township and retired from Gould Electronics, Watertown, NY, in 1982.

She is survived by a son, Martin W., husband of Esther V. (Schmid) Kowalski of Spring Township and a brother, Joseph L., husband of Carrie Dabrowski of Spring Hill, Florida.

Other survivors include two grandchildren: Martin W. II, husband of Jennifer W. Kowalski of Wyomissing and Cheryl A. (Kowalski), wife of Scott D. Faust of Greenwich Township and four great grandchildren: David S. Faust, Joseph M. Faust, Timothy M. Kowalski and Emily R. Kowalski.

Several nieces and nephews also survive her.

Celia was predeceased by four siblings: Clara Galasik, Sophie Burke, Anna Wilczewski and Thomas Dabrowski.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 am in Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 8th and Franklin Streets, West Reading. A visitation will be held from 9am until 10am in the church. Burial will be private in Buffalo, New York.
