Cecilia L. Bialy

Cecilia Laura (Cesarz) Bialy, 89, formerly of Wyomissing, died March 16, 2008 at 1:20 am in Berks Heim, Bern Township.

She was the widow of Stanley John Bialy, who died January 17, 1999.

Born in Reading, PA on January 12, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Waclaw and Martha (Erwetowski) Cesarz.

She and her late husband co-owned Sonny's Sandwich Shop, Cumru Township for 30 years.

Cecilia was also employed by Bonton, Wyomissing for 25 years.

She was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

Cecilia is survived by a daughter, Paulette C. (Bialy) Gehrke wife of Herbert W.S. Gehrke II of Bern Township.

A brother, Anthony Cesarz of Wyomissing also survive her.

Other survivors include three grandchildren; William S. husband of Lisa (Gabrielli) Gehrke of Scarborough, Maine; Denise M. (Gehrke) wife of Kenneth Grega of Richmond, Virginia and Sharon B. (Gehrke) Voelker fianceé of Alan M. Klusman of Ontelaunee Township.

There are also six great grandchildren; Zachary S. Voelker, Olivia G. Gehrke, Brandon S. Voelker, Nathaniel S. Gehrke, Julianne M. Grega and Madeline P. Grega.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday March 26th at 12:00 noon in St. Ignatius R.C. Church, 2810 St. Alban's Drive, Sinking Spring, PA 19608. A viewing will be held Tuesday March 25th from 6:30 - 8:00 pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale and Wednesday 11:00 am until time of Mass in the church. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum, Muhlenberg Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church at the above address.
