Cecil G. Botsford

Cecil G. Botsford, 85, of Ephrata, died March 31, 2011 in Fairmount Homes, Ephrata.

He was the husband of Eleanor V. (Gehris) Botsford.

Born in Renovo, Clinton County, he was a son of the late Doris (Botsford) Miller.

He retired from the maintenance department for American Color and Chemical, Corp., Reading.

Cecil loved hunting, fishing, gardening and was known for his great sense of humor.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in WWII; earning four ribbons and a Victory Medal.

Cecil was a member of Monterey Chapel, Leola.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children: Roger A. Botsford, Reading; Phillip R., husband of Lisa A. Botsford, Green Hills and Patricia M. Stilianos, Wyomissing. Also surviving are his granddaughters: Jessilyn and Casey and his great-grandsons: Kraven and Chase.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be held 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Fairmount Homes, 333 Wheat Ridge Dr., Ephrata, PA 17522 or Monterey Chapel, 53 West Eby Rd., Leola, PA 17540.
