Cecilia Bialas

 Cecilia M. Bialas, 88, of Wyomissing, passed away on January 21, 2026, at the Highlands where she resided. She was the beloved wife of Dr. Henry N. Bialas. They celebrated 55 years of marriage before his passing in December of 2012. 

Born in McAdoo, PA, she was the daughter of the late Theodore F. and Helen (Rush) Barna. She was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle of Shillington. Cecilia graduated from McAdoo High School in 1954, and Temple University School of Nursing in 1957. She met her husband while attending Temple University, as he was a medical student there. They graduated together in June 1957, and were married that same month. She worked as a Registered Nurse at the Reading Hospital, and later in her husband's office in West Reading. 

Those cherishing Cecilia's memory are her children: Cynthia Cherrybon (Stephen), LT CMDR Brian H. Bialas (Teresita), and Diane Wright; her grandchildren: Christy Ballard (Daniel) Michael Cherrybon (Diana), Amber Bialorucki (Craig) and Crystal Bialas; as well as her great grandchildren: Savannah Cherrybon, Landon Cherrybon, Brooks Ballard, Bryce Ballard, Heidi Bialorucki, and Camron Bialorucki. 

A viewing will be held on Friday, January, 30, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave, West Reading, PA 19611. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. at St. John Baptist de la Salle, 42 Kerrick Rd, Shillington, PA 19607, with entombment to follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.
