Catherine Zunzer

Catherine Zunzer, 100, of Reading, died August 15, 2014, in St. Joseph Hospital.

Born August 19, 1913, in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Carl F. and Anna B. (Neidert) Zunzer.

She was a 1929 graduate of St. Paul's Commercial High School.

Catherine was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church where she was a member of the Holy Family Society.

She was a bookkeeper for over 40 years, and finished her career at Dolfin Corporation retiring in 1985.

Catherine is survived by her niece, Helen Stephens Howlett, wife of George, Seymour, WI; great-nephew, Matthew Stephen Christian Howlett, Green Bay, WI; three cousins, Robert Zunzer, Jupiter, FL, Carl, Wil, Switzerland and Charles Neidert; and Guardian Angels, Betty and Ed Levandowski and Melanie Neidert Yost.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Carl F. and Eugene and three sisters, Sr. Anna Charles, M.S.B.T., Helen E. Stephens and Gertrude Zunzer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's R.C Church, 151 N 9th St, Reading, PA 19601. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 9:30 to 10 a.m. in the church.
