Catherine M. York

Catherine M. York, 101, died Thursday, August 19, 2021, in ManorCare Sinking Spring.

She was born August 13, 1920, in Philadelphia to the late Martin and Katherine Mary (Bransfield) O'Connell.

Catherine was the beloved wife of the late Joseph, J. York, Jr.

She graduated from St. John's High School in Manayunk, and Immaculata College.

Catherine taught at St. Joseph's in Reading, PA.

She was a member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, West Reading.

Catherine is survived by four children: Catherine Reber, widow of Dennis; Mary Ellen Mulhern, widow of Richard; Joseph J. York, III, husband of Tracey; and Matthew York, husband of Tracey; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one sister, Ellen Ann Willemin, Philadelphia.

The family would like to thank Visiting Angels and the nurses and aides at Station 3, ManorCare in Sinking Spring and Heartland Hospice, for their kindness.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
