Catherine I. Stern

Catherine I. Stern, 88 of Tilden Township died November 19th in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was predeceased by two husbands, James W. Clay in 1955 and Edgar D. Stern on November 26, 1988. Catherine was born in Perry Township and was the daughter of the late Pious E. and Ida M. (Hottenstein) Dietrich. She was a member of Zion Moselem Lutheran Church, Richmond Township. Catherine is survived by two sons; Jerry husband of Gloria Clay, Perry Township and Dale Stern, Windsor Township, five grandchildren; Jerry, Jr. husband of Jamie (Evans) Clay, Shillington, David R. Clay, Centre Township, Elizabeth K. Clay, Perry Township, Chadly D. Stern and Connor D. Stern both of Windsor Township. She is also survived by two brothers; James W. husband of Marian Dietrich, Tilden Township, Harold E. husband of Diana Dietrich, Perry Township, two sisters; Helen widow of Lawrence Moyer, Bern Township, Dorothy widow of Robert McLaughlin, Tilden Township. Catherine was predeceased by two brothers, Raymond and Earl Dietrich. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12:00 noon from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc. 40 S. 4th Street, Hamburg. A viewing will be held on Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Saturday morning from 11:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be in Zion Moselem Cemetery.
