Catherine Sheaffer

Catherine Sheaffer, 96, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026, in the care of Reading Hospital.

Born in Reading to the late Joseph and Julia (Breton) Novak, Catherine graduated from St. Peter's School.

She was a proud mother and doting mom-mom, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Her life was spent in dedication to caring for her family, and they in turn were incredibly grateful for the love and care she provided. She treasured every moment spent together.

Left to treasure Catherine's memory are her children: Paul Beck, husband of Rosie; Laurie Wright, wife of Neil; and Christina Fausel, wife of Scott; her grandchildren, Cameron, Julia, Jennifer, Chrissy, Brad, and Shylah; great-grandchildren Kelsey, Morgan, Kayla, Devin, Zachary, Caleb, and Isabella; and great-great-grandson, Oliver.

Catherine was predeceased by her son, Rick Beck; great-granddaughter, Desirej; and her brother, Joseph A. Novak.

Services for Catherine will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Ave, West Reading PA 19611, with committal to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
