Catherine M. Pauley

Catherine Marie (Denscheilman) Pauley, 82, formerly of Mount Penn, died September 6, 2010 in her daughter's Muhlenberg Township residence.

She was the wife of the late Gerald Edward Pauley, who died November 24, 1986.

Born in Reading, PA on March 1, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Elwood L. and Helen R. (Mumma) Denscheilman.

She was a 1945 graduate of Reading Central Catholic High School.

Catherine was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Reading and a former member of St. Catharine's of Siena R.C. Church, Mount Penn.

She was employed was a cafeteria worker with St. Catharine of Siena School.

Catherine was also employed as a cook with Trinity Learning Center, Mount Penn.

She is survived by four children: Stephen M., widower of Janice (Tobias) Pauley of Temple; Robert E., husband of Theresa E. (Delaney) Pauley of Mount Penn; Dolores M., widow of Larry L. Epler of Muhlenberg Township and James P. Pauley of Spring Township.

Other survivors include 12 grandchildren; four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah A. Pauley, who died February 23, 1973 and by a brother, Elwood P. Denscheilman, who died in March 1930.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10:30 am in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. A viewing will be held Saturday from 9:00 - 10:00 am in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale.
