Catherine M. Rautzhan

Catherine Mabel Rautzhan, 85 of Laureldale, died August 9, 2009 in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township.

She was the widow of Marlin E. Rautzhan who died September, 1972.

Born November 22, 1923 in Williamstown, PA, she was a daughter of the late William L. and Hattie (Williard) Hoffman.

Catherine was a 1941 graduate of Williamstown High School. She also attended Williamstown Business School.

She was employed as a secretary for Reading School District for 11 years, retiring November, 1985.

Catherine was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

Surviving are three sons, Marlin L., husband of Geraldine S. Rautzhan of Shillington, Robert L., husband of Jeannette A. Rautzhan of Blandon and Richard L., husband of Lauren S. Rautzhan of Lewisburg, PA.

In addition there is one brother, John G. Hoffman of Mt. Holly Springs, PA also surviving.

Other survivors include six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to services in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
