Catherine E. Haddock

Catherine Elizabeth Haddock, 92, formerly of Wyomissing, passed away September 22, 2012 in The Lutheran Home at Topton.

Her husband, Robert A. Haddock, Sr., died July 14, 1996.

Born in Grill, she was a daughter of the late Charles F. and Mamie (Blankenbiller) Zerbe.

She attended Southern Jr. High School and Reading High School.

Catherine was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Reading.

She is survived by her son, Robert A. Haddock, Jr., Mohrsville, companion of Joan Pearson, Temple and her son-in-law, Robert W. Boyer, Reading. Also surviving are her brother, Karl Zerbe, Reading and her sister, Emma May Herb, Mt. Penn. Two grandchildren: Curt W., husband of Emily Boyer, Laureldale and Allison, wife of Richard Burde, Camden, DE; seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren also survive her.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Carol Ann Boyer; her brothers: Ralph Zerbe and James Zerbe; her sister, Ethel Tylka and her granddaughter, Beth Huey.

Services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale. A viewing will be 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Avenue, Reading, PA 19605.
