Catherine J. Dimaio

Catherine J. "Kitty" DiMaio, 79 of Reading died September 14 at 3:45 a.m. in the residence of her daughter, Victoria J. (DiMaio) Venezia, Sinking Spring.

Her husband George L. DiMaio died March 25, 1981.

Born in Boston, MA she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Frances (Minchello) Rodino.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

DiMaio was a graduate of Reading High School and the Bryland Beauty School, Reading.

She was first self-employed as a beautician for a number of years in Reading. Later she was employed as a manager by Boscov's North in the toy department for 35 years retiring in June of 2004.

In addition to her daughter Victoria, she is also survived by another daughter Christina M. DiMaio, Muhlenberg Township and one son, David G., Reading. Other survivors include one brother Salvatore Rodino, Bern Township, 5 grandchildren and one great grandson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church. Burial in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the church. Contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Church 237 Franklin Street Reading, PA 19602. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
