Catherine J. Calabria

Catherine J. Calabria, 95, of Reading, died June 22, 2010 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

Her husband, Charles D. Calabria, died January 21, 1999.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Check) Harcar.

Catherine was a member of St. Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church.

She is survived by her four children: David C. Calabria, husband of Ava McCall, Oshkosh, WI; Dennis M., husband of Pam Calabria, Camano Island, WA; Mary Jo Calabria, Reading and Catherine A., wife of John Rabbitt, Fairfax, VA. Also surviving are two grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Catherine was predeceased by her siblings: Joseph Harcar, Andrew Harcar, William Harcar, Margaret Harcar, Cecilia Harcar, Mary Horwath and Helen Nemeth.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in Gethsemane Chapel, 3139 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale. Entombment will be in the adjoining Mausoleum. A viewing will be Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Cyril & Methodius R.C.
