Catharine Hain Witkowski

Catharine Hain Witkowski, 81, of Spring Township died July 22, 2011 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was the wife of Chester Joseph Witkowski, whom she married September 5, 1953.

Born November 1, 1929 in Millmont, she was a daughter of the late John and Valeria (Mazur) Hain.

Catharine was a graduate of Reading High School.

She was employed with AT&T and as a receptionist with Wyomissing Institute of Fine Arts.

Catharine was a very active member of St. Stephen's Polish National Church, Cumru Township.

Also surviving are her son, David E., husband of Cynthia Witkowski of Shillington; her two brothers, Stanley Hain of Wernersville and Joseph Hain of Merritt Island, FL and her three grandchildren, Sara, Nathan and Matthew.

Catharine was predeceased by a sister, Helen Chrusciel.

A viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 7-8 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
