Catharine S. Souders

Catharine S. Souders, 89 formerly of Flying Hills died June 8, 2004 at 3:33 PM in Phoebe Berks Healthcare Center where she had been since February 25, 1993.

Her husband Dr. Benjamin F. Souders died March 24, 1971.

Born in Bernville she was the daughter of the late Willis and Mame S. (Haak) Bright.

She was a graduate of Linden Hall, Lancaster County, where she was a member of the Alumnae Association. Souders attended Cedar Crest College.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Reading where she served on the Altar Guild.

Souders was also a member of the Women's Club of Reading and the Women's Auxiliary of The Reading Hospital.

She is survived by a son Thomas B. Souders, M.D., of Reading and two daughters, Nancy T. (Souders) Froelich, of Wyomissing, and Catharine S. (Souders) Bower, of Shillington.

There are also six grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons.

Services will be Saturday at 11 AM in Phoebe Berks Chapel, Wernersville. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.

A visitation will be held Saturday from 9:30 to 11 AM in Phoebe Chapel. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Phoebe Berks Healthcare Center 1 Heidelberg Drive Wernersville, PA 19565
