Catharine E. Kusior

Catharine Elizabeth (Schaeffer) Kusior, 85, of Reading, died March 1, 2011 in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township.

She was the wife of Edward Kusior, who died November 11, 1990.

Born March 30, 1925 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late George J. and Nellie (Diehm) Schaeffer.

Catharine was a member of Faith Evangelical Congregational Church, Temple.

Surviving are two children: Karen E. (Roth), wife of Russell R. Hoover of Laureldale and Lawrence J., husband of Sharon Roth of Mt. Penn.

The oldest of 10 siblings, Catharine is survived by a sister, Sarah J. (Schaeffer), wife of Franklin M. Esterly of Reading and a brother, Robert A. Schaeffer of Hershey.

Other survivors include four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Alsace Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
