Catharine R. "Kit" Bensinger, 98, retired co-owner of a city bingo hall, died July 17 at 4:15 p.m. in Mifflin Center, Cumru Township, where she had been a resident since Dec. 16, 2002.
She was a former West Reading resident.
Her husband, Francis C. Bensinger, died April 16, 1974.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Bernard W. and Anna R. (Angstadt) Rudolph.
Bensinger, along with her husband, co-owned and operated Kit and Bud's Bingo, Reading, for 35 years until her retirement.
She was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Reading.
Bensinger was past president of the ladies auxiliary of Travelers Protection Association and the West Reading Senior Citizens Association.
She is survived by a son, Carroll R., West Reading; and three daughters: Jacqueline F. (Bensinger) Guiles, Wyomissing; and Marilyn F. (Bensinger) Hafer and Creeda D. (Bensinger) Kurowski, both of Shillington.
There are also 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m at the Kuhn Funeral Home on Thursday. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery.
