Carrie Elizabeth Grimmer

Carrie Elizabeth Grimmer, 93, of 166 Heckman Road, Alsace Township, Berks County, died Tuesday April 9th in the Berkshire Center, Exeter Township at 9:20 a.m. where she had resided since January 9, 1997.

She was the widow of Irvin Grimmer who died April 13, 1989. They were married June 30, 1934.

Born in Rockland Township, Berks County, she was a daughter of the late Charles B.S. and Hannah R. (Gressley) Zuber.

She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall, North Congregation.

Grimmer is survived by three daughters; Julia A. (Grimmer) wife of Harold J. Miller of Alsace Township; Mary A. (Grimmer) wife of Thomas F. Oliver of Shavertown, Luzerne County and Betty M. (Grimmer) wife of Ralph I. Fisher of Boyertown. She was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Grimmer.

She is also survived by four siblings; Lester husband of Pearl Zuber of Alsace Township; Andrew widower of Agnes Zuber of Barto, Berks County; Elda (Zuber) widow of LeRoy Baer of Blandon and Helen (Zuber) widow of Edward Grimmer of Tuckerton. She was also predeceased by four brothers, Paul, Lloyd, Clarence, and Elwood Zuber.

There is also seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. Viewing Thursday from 10:00a.m. till time of service. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
