Carrie E. Cooley, 82, formerly of West Wyomssing and Robesonia, died May 23, 2007 in Mesa, AZ.
Her husband, Ferman F. Cooley died May 16, 1973.
Born in West Reading, she was a daughter of the late Edward P. and Eva (Mellinger) Ulrich.
She was a graduate of West Reading High School in 1942.
Carrie was employed by the Reading Hospital for 12 years until her retirement.
She was a member of St. Paul's U.C.C., Robesonia.
Carrie is survived by two sons, Franklin E. husband of Pat Cooley, Peoria, AZ and Michael F. husband of Theresa Cooley, Bethel; and three daughters, Carolyn A. widow of Robert Hess, Nelson, PA,; Bonnie M. widow of Ronald Gentile, Reading; and Cheryl J. wife of Robert Cieplinski, Peoria, AZ. There is also one sister, Virginia A. (Ulrich) Neiman, Apache Junction, AZ. Other survivors include 11 grandchildren, including James; 16 great grandchildren, including Stacey; and 3 great great grandsons.
Before Carrie moved to Arizona, in 2005, she lived at Furnace Creek Manor Apartments in Robesonia. She was known for playing Santa Claus and having Christmas Dinner for her family, she loved to cook. She always baked dozens of cookies and many pumpkin rolls. Carrie was a loving mother and friend. She never forgot any of the many birthdays, sending cards to all her family and friends. She loved angels, we know she is with them now.
Services will be Saturday, June 2 at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before the service in the funeral home. For online condolences, please visit www.kuhnfuneralhome.com
