Carolyn Orr

Carolyn P. Orr, 76, passed away November 15, 2015 in the Wyomissing Health and Rehabilitation Center where she was a resident since September 18, 2015. .

Born July 22, 1939 in Bryn Mawr, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lenora (Alexander) Orr.

She retired from the Reading Police Department as a dispatcher.

Carol is survived by her sister Lenora Orr, Hawaii and sister in law, Ann Orr. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive her.

She was an accomplished bowler and was a member of the RWBA Hall of Fame. She was a member of the Merion Cricket Club located in Haverford, PA. Carol belonged to Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, cats, and vacationing in North Port, Florida. Carol loved traveling the country, was well liked and got along with everyone. Carol always seemed to find luck whether it be a lottery ticket or a game of chance.

Carol was predeceased by her brother, Andy Orr and sister, Susan Cozart.

Services will held Saturday, November 21st at 2 p.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. A viewing will be from 1-2 p.m in the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
