Carolyn F. Hesser

Carolyn Florence (Long) Hesser, 84, of Temple, died April 14, 2012 in ManorCare Health Services, West Reading.

She was married May 29, 1948 to Robert Ellsworth "Beetle" Hesser, who died June 29, 2002.

Born in Birdsboro, PA on June 8, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Florence (Seifrit) Long.

She was a 1945 graduate of Birdsboro High School and a 1948 graduate from the Reading Hospital School of Nursing.

Carolyn is survived by two children: Karen E. (Hesser) Brenner of Newark, Delaware and Brian E. widower of Theresa M. (Ketterer) Hesser of Spring Township.

Other survivors include three grandchildren: Amanda G. Brenner of Newark, DE; Ashley E. Hesser of Muhlenberg Township and Erin M. Hesser of Spring Township.

Services will be held Saturday at 10:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Birdsboro Cemetery.
