Carolyn A. Gabriel

Carolyn A. Gabriel, 76 of Upper Bern Township died in the Laurel Center, Tilden Township September 17, 2017. She was the wife of Paul R. Gabriel and recently celebrated 55 years of marriage.   Carolyn was born in Brooklyn, NY and was the daughter of the late William and Annette (Marchiano) Macchia. She was a homemaker most of her life and also worked as a sales and marketing representative for Legg's-Hanes-Bali Company for several years. She was an avid New York Yankees Fan and animal lover. Carolyn was of the Roman Catholic Faith and attended St. Mary Church, Tilden Township. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her four children, Paul R. Jr., husband of Sheryl A. Gabriel, Howell, NJ, Karen S. wife of Paul Townsend, Brisbane, Australia, Robert E. husband of Jennifer Gabriel, N. Brunswick, NJ. and Lyn Gabriel-Rooney wife of Brian Rooney, New Hope, PA, grandchildren, Tianna and Alexa Gabriel, Ashlee Michael, Kyra and Bryce Rooney and a great-grandchild, Aylish and one sister Joyce wife of Roger Barnett, Colts-Neck, NJ. A viewing will be held on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon at St. Mary Church, 94 Walnut Road, Hamburg, PA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be Monday, September 25th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newton, Pennsylvania.  There will be no procession from the funeral home.  Please arrive by 10:45 a.m. The Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., Hamburg, PA is in charge of arrangements.
