Carolyn Cole

Carolyn Cole, 65, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at St. Joseph's Medical Center. She was the loving wife of David A. Cole.

Born in Reading, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Mariano and Anne (Riotto) Merlino. She graduated from Reading High School in 1975 and was self-employed as a seamstress. Carolyn was a free spirit who loved to sing and dance. She was deeply proud of her children, grandchildren, nephews, and great nieces.

Left to treasure her memory are her husband, David; four children: Mya Huf (Douglas Shertzer) of Wernersville; Jedediah Huf (Megan) of Oxford; Taylor Rae Cole (Jason Brown) of Philadelphia; and Jacob Sutton Cole of Reading; and two grandchildren, Nevin Frantz and Lilyanna Frantz.

Carolyn was predeceased by sister, Marianne Flemming and brother, Charles Merlino.

A celebration of Carolyn's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. Friends and relatives are invited to gather from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
