Carolyn A. Armer, 85, formerly of Shillington, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at the Keystone Villa in Douglassville.
Born in 1941, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Paul, Sr. and Angelina (Nocera) Zintz. She was the loving wife of Donald F. Armer, who passed away in 1977, and later shared 44 happy years with her longtime companion, Donald G. Buchert, who also preceded her in death in 2023.
Above all, Carolyn treasured her family and the time they spent together. A devoted mother and beloved "Mom Mom," she especially enjoyed family vacations to Ocean City, Maryland, where wonderful memories were made over the years. She had a creative spirit and enjoyed painting, traveling, and tending to her flower garden. Carolyn also took pride in her 45-year career with GAI-Tronics, where she worked in the manufacturing of communications equipment.
Carolyn leaves behind her loving daughter, Kelly Lionti, wife of David M., of Mohnton; four grandchildren: Zachary Davies, husband of LuAnn VanOrden, Vanessa Davies of Milmont, Matthew Lionti, husband of Alyssa, of Oley, and Nathan Lionti, husband of Holly, of Shillington; and eleven cherished great-grandchildren: Sophia, Siena, Gianni, Damien, Hunter, Colton, Lucas, Beau, Jeremiah, Mackenzie, and Kiara.
She is also survived by her sisters, Joan Quallio and Patricia Bauman, wife of Walt, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to her husband and longtime companion, Carolyn was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Kramer, and brother, Paul "Butch" Zintz, Jr. She also leaves behind a cherished extended family through her longtime companion, Donald, including his daughter, Tammy (Buchert) Burkhart, and her husband, Philip; their children, Kelly and Eric; and granddaughter, Ruthvia.
A funeral service celebrating Carolyn's life will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
Carolyn will be remembered for the love she shared with her family, the memories they made together, and the special place she held in the hearts of those who called her Mom and Mom Mom.
