Caroline L. Lamp

Caroline L. Lamp, 75, of Erie Street died Sept. 9 at 2:55 p.m. in Reading Hospital, where she had been a patient since Aug. 24.

Her husband, Willian N. Lamp Sr., died July 17, 1985.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late John and M. Minerva (Shell) Machemer.

Surviving are two daughters, Ruth (Lamp) Cardell, West Reading, and Dorothy (Lamp) Pordham, with whom she resided; and four sons: Raymond, Muhlenberg Township; William Jr. and Robert, both of Reading; and Wayne, Mohnton.

Other survivors include a brother, Clarence Machemer, Mohnton; and two sisters, Jeanette (Machemer) Weber, Exeter Township, and Edna J. Machemer, Laureldale.

There are also 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in Kissinger's Cemetery, Wyomissing. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
