Caroline J. Michalowski

Caroline J. Michalowski, 86, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on October 12, 2010.

Her husband, James A. Michalowski, died October 15, 2001.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Julia (Sakiewicz) Druzba.

She was a 1942 graduate of St. Peter's Catholic High School.

Caroline was employed by Zipf's Candies, West Reading for 36 years, retiring as their store manager.

She was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola, Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

Caroline is survived by four children, James E., with whom she resided, Linda M. Michalowski, Bern Township, Susan C. Michalowski, Clearwater, FL, and Carol A., wife of Mark B. Guiney, Arlington, TX; and a grandson, Ryan P. Guiney.

She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Bressler.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
