Caroline Marie Heere

Caroline Marie Heere, 97, formerly of Reading, passed away January 22, 2015 in ManorCare Laureldale.

Her husband, Adam G. Heere, died in 1976.

Born September 3, 1917 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Guenther and Amelia (DeTemple) Baeck.

She was a graduate of St. Peter's High School.

Caroline worked for Whitner's Department Store as well as Pomeroy's Department Store.

She was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church, Whitfield.

Caroline enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting, and crafting.

She is survived by her children: Gerard A., husband of Sandra L. Heere, Reinholds; Bernard J. Heere, Reading; Leonard J., husband of Ruth Heere, Williamsburg, VA; Theresa G. Smith, Sinking Spring; and Marcia C. Heere, Reading. Also surviving are her sister, Leona Lotz, Gainsville, FL; many nieces and nephews; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Caroline was predeceased by her son, Edward C. Heere, her sister, Mary Ellen Kidder, her brother, Alfred J. Baeck, and her granddaughter, Samantha Heere.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church, 2810 St Albans Dr., Sinking Spring, PA 19608. A viewing will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church at the above address or in memory of her son, Edward, to The Lustgarten Foundation, 1111 Stewart Ave., Bethpage, NY 11714. Edward J.
