Caroline Exas

Caroline Exas, 92, passed away January 1, 2017 in Country Meadows.

She was the beloved wife of John P. Exas, who died May 25, 2006.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Theodora (George) Daburlos.

Caroline was a 1942 Reading High School graduate.

She was a hair dresser, owning and operating her own business.

Caroline was a member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, where she sang in the church choir. She was an honorary member of the Philoptochos Society and chaired the pastry sales at the Greek Bazaar for many years.

Caroline is survived by her two children, Elaine E., wife of Gerald Ermentrout, Allentown, and Dean J., husband of Bernice Exas, Plymouth, MA. She is also survived by her sister, Irene Apsokardu, Womelsdorf, grandchildren, Ryan Ermentrout (Lani), Gregory Ermentrout (Jennifer), Julie (Ermentrout) Parkerson (Joseph), Callie (Exas) Mosback (Tim), Adam Exas (Maggie), Christopher Exas and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be Friday, January 6, 2017 at 1 p.m. in Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Church, 1001 E. Wyomissing Blvd., Reading PA 19611. Friends and family may call from 12 to 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Charles Evans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Sts.
