Carole Born

Carole P. Born, 85, passed away on August 1, 2024, surrounded by her loving family in her Brecknock Township residence. She was the wife of David B. Born. Highschool sweethearts, they shared a marriage of 67 years.

Born in Leesport to the late Charles R. and Geraldine M. (Anderson) Bausher, Carole graduated from Governor Mifflin High School in 1956. She worked briefly at UGI as a customer service representative, and she modeled hair for her cousin, June Flatt.

A member of Alleghenyville Lutheran Church, Carole served as a Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent for many years.

She was a loving wife and best friend to David, the best mom in the world to her children, and a nurturing grandmother to her grandchildren. She will be missed by her entire family.

Carole's memory will be treasured by her loving husband, David; their children; Christopher D. Born of Mohnton; Shawn P. Born (Lauren) of Exeter; Devin A. Born (Crystal) of Sinking Spring; and Tricia M. Born of Hamburg; 11 grandchildren; and one expected great grandchild.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA 19611, with committal to follow at Alleghenyville Union Cemetery.
