Carol Jean Swisher

Carol Jean Swisher, 77, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024 in the Reading Hospital.

Carol, a daughter of the late Carl and Florence (Szewczyk) Swist, was born in Reading. She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. Carol's greatest joy was gathering with family and friends. She will ever be remembered for her fun loving spirit.

Carol will be deeply missed by her children, Gina, wife of R. Anthony McGuire, and Joseph Swisher, partner of Maris George, of Mohnton PA. She will also be missed by her grandchildren: Anthony McGuire, Alex, Jaelyn, Katelyn, Makayla, and Michael Swisher; three great grandchildren, and her sisters, Cindy Diana of Robesonia, and Alice, wife of Gerry Orlando, of Wyomissing, and their families. Carol was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Jerry Swist.

A prayer service will be held on Wednesday, July 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. The family will receive friends and relatives from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial at St. Mary's R.C. Cemetery in Reading.
