Carol C. Rissmiller

Carol Christine (Hartz) Rissmiller, 66, died July 17, 2011 in her Laureldale Borough Residence.

She was the wife of Terry Earl Rissmiller, whom she married November 18, 1967.

Born December 25, 1944 in Cumru Township, she was a daughter of the late Charles Grover and Joanna (Smith) Hartz.

Carol was a 1962 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School.

She was a member of Grace (Alsace) United Church of Christ, Muhlenberg Township.

Carol was active with flea marketing as well as a couponing.

She was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi - International Sorority for over 40 years.

Carol enjoyed vacationing and going on cruises. One of her greatest pleasures was bicycling while on vacation.

She was also very much involved in the Kohl family reunions that had been ongoing for over 100 years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children: Dean A. Rissmiller, partner of Jason K. Williams of Muhlenberg Township and Lori S. (Rissmiller), wife of William E. Marx, Jr. of Wayne, Delaware County.

Also surviving is a brother, Richard Hartz of Ft. Myers, FL.

There are also two grandsons surviving, William E. Marx, III and Austin T. Marx.

Carol was predeceased by a sister, Judy Hartz.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Alsace Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
